- How fast can I go with an eFoil?
Depending on the mode and the rider’s weight, up to 45 km/h.
- What is the battery capacity?
Up to 120 min riding and it depends on the eFoil, the board, the battery, the user’s level, and weight.
- Is there a lot of maintenance to do on the eFoil?
Very little, but it’s important to do it properly!
First of all, keep in mind that you have an electric motor product, which therefore requires maintenance and attention.

- Can I use my eFoil in the waves?
It’s certainly tempting to have fun in the waves, but the eFoil isn’t designed for that. Keep in mind that surfers, swimmers, and divers might be in the waves! There are a wide range of boards and foils designed and dedicated to wave riding like the SiFly eFoil Rider and the HydroFlyer.
- Can I practice anywhere?
Basic navigation rules and knowledge of waterways are necessary. Respect others.
At sea, starting from the shore, move at low speed (less than 5 knots or 9 km/h), without flying, until you exit the coastal band of 300 meters. In rivers and lakes, inquire about navigation zones and authorized speeds. You can use your eFoil in most countries around the world. Contact local authorities to know the applicable rules.
- Is there an app to download to update my eFoil?
Yes, there is and you can refer to the video tutorial in our eFoil academy page
- Does the remote control have a safety system?
We have two safety systems integrated into the remote control:
Cut-off trigger: As soon as the trigger is released, the eFoil automatically stops. To restart, return the throttle to zero.
The signal is cut off when the remote control is in the water. The signal automatically reconnects when the remote control is out of the water, but you will need to return the throttle to zero to restart.
