Morocco is set to host Africa’s first ever E-Foil World Cup, with the Marchica Cup 2026 taking place from May 8 to 10 at the Marchica Lagoon Resort in Nador, as part of the official Surf Foil World Tour 2026.
The event will bring together top local and international competitors racing on electric hydrofoil boards across Marchica Lake over three days of qualifying rounds and direct elimination finals, with a total prize fund of 100,000 dirhams.
Nador joins the tour after stops in Düsseldorf, Germany, and Leucate, France, making it the first African destination on the circuit. The event will run alongside the Marchica Lagoon Water Sports Festival, offering visitors a mix of sport, culture, and entertainment across the resort and the city of Atalayoun.
